Malaysian biorefinery to start production of green chemicals in 2016

MyBiomass (Selangor, Malaysia), a special purpose vehicle under the Malaysian biomass initiative, plans to begin production at its industrial biorefinery in Johor by the end of 2016 with the grounding-breaking for the project scheduled to be held in the fourth quarter of 2014. MyBiomass CEO R. Puvaneswari says the plant will require an investment of between 300 million-400 million Malaysian ringgit ($93.4 million-124.6 million).
