Regions :: Southeast Asia Lanxess to Begin Construction of Nd-PBR Plant in Singapore in September2:56 AM MST | March 1, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Lanxess says it will break ground on the previously announced €200-million ($267 million) neodymium polybutadiene rubber (Nd-PBR) plant at the Jurong Island Chemical Park in Singapore, on September 11, 2012. The plant will have a production capacity of 140,000 m.t/year and is expected to start production in the first half of 2015. The facility will be the largest of its kind in the world and will serve the growing market for ‘green tires’, especially in Asia, Lanxess says.
