Indorama swings to profit

Indorama Ventures (Bangkok) recorded a net profit of about $5 million in the fourth quarter of 2012 compared with a net loss of about $73 million in the fourth quarter of 2011. Fourth-quarter sales increased 18%, to $1.64 billion. For full-year 2012, Indorama reports a 71% fall in net profits compared with 2011, to $148 million. Full-year sales increased 11%, to $6.78 billion. In the fourth quarter of 2012, production volume of the company increased by 24% compared with the fourth quarter of 2011, to 1.31 million m.t.; production volume for the full year 2012...
