Regions :: Southeast Asia Idemitsu signs bioethanol deal with Cambodia8:36 AM MST | December 10, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Idemitsu Kosan says it signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Cambodia on 7 December, in order to promote bioethanol production in the region. Idemitsu has also opened an office at Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in conjunction with this deal. Idemitsu says it aims to produce and sell about 200,000 kiloliters/year of bioethanol by early 2020. Idemitsu has been promoting the business of biofuel production—the company says biofuel is a promising renewable energy source and an alternative to gasoline—in Southeast Asia, the company says...
