Evonik to Invest in Nylon-12 Plant in Asia, Hikes Capacity in Germany

Evonik Industries says it plans to build a 20,000-m.t./year nylon-12 plant in Asia and expand its existing capacity at Marl, Germany. Evonik’s executive board has approved preliminary and basic planning for the Asian plant. The company, meanwhile, will add 5,000 m.t./year capacity at Marl with completion scheduled next year.
