Evonik Industries Invests in Large Methionine Complex in Singapore

Evonik Industries, the global leading producer of DL-methionine, an essential amino acid used in animal feed, will build an integrated complex to manufacture the amino acid on Jurong Island, Singapore. The company says it will invest in the "mid triple-digit million euros" range in the facility, which will be designed to produce 150,000 m.t./year and begin production in 2014.
