Celanese and Pertamina to form JV for fuel ethanol projects in Indonesia

Celanese says it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with state-owned energy company Pertamina (Jakarta), and will begin the detailed project-planning phase for the development of fuel ethanol projects in Indonesia. Pertamina is working with Celanese to jointly develop synthetic fuel ethanol projects in Indonesia utilizing Celanese's proprietary TCX ethanol process technology.
