BASF reports flat sales in Asia

BASF says sales to customers in Asia/Pacific were €12.5 billion ($17.17 billion) in 2013, which is unchanged compared with 2012. BASF companies located in the region had total sales of €11.7 billion in 2012, which is also flat compared to 2012. Regional income from operations, or Ebit, before special items amounted to €842 million in 2013 compared with €888 million in 2012. The number of employees at BASF companies in Asia/Pacific totaled 16,708 at the end of 2013. BASF coordinates its businesses in Asia/Pacific via two regional headquarters...
