Asia: Expansion Continues

Economic growth in the Asia/Pacific region will be about 5% in 2012, similar to the growth rate in 2011, a recent report by analysts at IHS Global Insight (London) says. Risks loom large for the region’s economy in 2012, most notably from the ongoing eurozone debt crisis and the threat of “poorly managed” slowdowns in India and China, the report says.
