Petronas selects Ineos technology for LLDPE-HDPE project

Ineos says that Petronas has selected its Innovene G gas phase fluidised bed process for the linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)/high-density polyethylene (HDPE) project within Petronas’s previously announced $20-billion refinery and petrochemicals integrated development (Rapid) project at Pengerang in Johor in southern Malaysia. The 350,000-m.t./year plant will manufacture a full line of high value polyethylene resins, including HDPE, LLDPE and metallocene LLDPE, Ineos says.
