Mendonca Named CEO of Braskem America

Braskem says it has named Luiz de Mendonca CEO of Braskem America (Philadelphia). He succeeds Carlos Fadigas who late last year was named Braskem’s CEO. Mendonca served as CEO of Quattor after it was acquired by Braskem in 2010. He was previously Braskem's v.p./polymers and v.p. basic chemicals. Mendonca worked for 16 years at Rhodia/Rhone-Poulenc with positions in Brazil, Latin America, China, France and the U.S. In 2001, he was appointed U.S. v.p. of the Rhodia/Rhone-Poulenc Group, serving on the company’s operational committee, before joining...
