Regions :: South America :: Brazil Pequiven, Braskem Pick Technologies for Jose Complex9:50 AM MST | December 22, 2008 | Natasha Alperowicz Polimerica (Caracas), a joint venture between Pequiven (Caracas) and Braskem (São Paulo), has selected technologies for three polyethylene (PE) units that will form part of a previously announced integrated petrochemicals complex at Jose, Venezuela (CW, Nov. 10, p. 25). The complex will be based on an ethane cracker with capacity for 1.3 million m.t./year of ethylene and is due for completion in 2013. The total investment cost is estimated at $3.25 billion.
