Regions :: South America :: Brazil Oxiteno Buys Clariant Plant in Brazil12:58 PM MDT | July 18, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Brazilian chemical firm Oxiteno (São Paulo) says it has purchased a sulfation and sulfonation plant from Clariant, which is located in Suzano, Sao Paulo state, Brazil. The deal will help Oxiteno boost its presence in surfactants for detergents, surface cleaners, degreasers and soaps, the company says. Oxiteno has an anionic surfactant plant in Tremembe, Brazil, and the acquisition also will complement the company’s plans to bring onstream a 100,000-m.t./year oleochemicals plant at Camacari, Brazil next year, the company...
