Haldor Topsøe to build automotive catalysts plant in Brazil

Haldor Topsøe is establishing an automotive catalyst production facility in Brazil, the company announced today. It will focus on manufacturing catalysts that can remove dangerous nitrogen oxides as well as particulates and hydrocarbons from the engine exhaust of diesel vehicles such as buses and trucks. Topsøe recently leased two buildings in the Joinville, Santa Catarina industrial park and it is currently seeking to obtain the necessary regulatory approvals and place orders for equipment.
