Government of Rio de Janeiro state launches program to encourage development of plastics value chain

The government of the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro launched a program design to attract plastic processing firms, and encourage the expansion of existing facilities, according to the state government. With the installation of the second phase of the Comperj complex, the petrochemical-feedstock production capacity of the state will increase from 1.54 million m.t./year, to about 4.6 million m.t./year.
