Chemical prices drop 0.8% in Brazil during April

Chemical prices slipped 0.8% in Brazil during April compared with the previous month, the first drop since November 2012, according to the Producer Price Index (IPP), published by IBGE, Brazil's statistics office. Three of the products that most influenced the index were polypropylene, phenol/formaldehyde resins, and NPK fertilizers. Despite the drop in April, prices in Brazil's chemical sector increased by 9.11% over the last 12 months, the data shows.
