Brazil's petchem production continues to grow but at a slower rate

Sales of petrochemical products in Brazil between January and August 2013 were up 2.16% year-on-year (YOY), according to Abiquim (São Paulo), the country's chemical industry association. No baseline figures were published. Apparent consumption—production plus imports, minus exports—registered a YOY increase of 7.3% during the reported period. Petrochemical production was up 0.91% during the same period.
