Brazil to increase its biodiesel blend from 5%, to 7%

Brazil plans to increase the amount of biodiesel blended into diesel starting in July. President Dilma Rousseff signed on the provisional increases earlier this week, according to the Ministry of Mines and Energy (Brasilia). The increases will result in biodiesel content rising from 5%, to 6% in July and 7% by November. Brazil currently has 57 units able to process a total of about 7.5 billion liters/year of biodiesel.
