Brazil imposes antidumping duties on nylon imports from three Asian countries

Brazil has imposed provisional antidumping duties on nylon imports originating in China, Thailand, and Taiwan, says Camex (Brasilia), Brazil's chamber of foreign trade. The antidumping duty will be in force for four months. The decision follows a complaint filed by Rhodia Poliamida e Especialidades—a subsidiary of Solvay—pertaining to imports of nylon-6 and nylon-6,6. Camex's investigation found that sales of Brazil-made nylon shrank 8.4% between 2007 and 2012, which was reflected by a fall in production of about 19.3%. Nylon imported from Taiwan...
