Regions :: South America :: Brazil Brazil Increases Import Tariffs for 100 Products10:08 AM MDT | September 14, 2012 | Kara Sissell The Brazilian government has temporarily increased tariffs for 100 products including high-density polyethylene (PE), low-density PE, linear low-density PE, polycarbonate, ethylene glycol (EG), and polybutadiene rubber, effective September 25. The increase will raise tariffs for the PE products and EG from 14% to 20%. Polycarbonate tariffs will increase from 16% to 25% Other products subject to import tariff increases are consumer products, raw materials, and some polyvinyl chloride- and polypropylene-based converted products.
