Regions :: South America :: Brazil Brazil Approves Dow AgroSciences Bt Corn Hybrids11:58 AM MST | January 28, 2009 | Kara Sissell Dow AgroSciences says it has received approval from Brazilian authorities to sell corn hybrids containing its Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) Herculex insect protection technology. The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture (Brasilia) has approved four corn hybrids, and Dow says it expects to be able to sell its full range of Herculex hybrids in Brazil in the future. “This is a key milestone that will make available the best corn seed technology to the Brazilian producer and will set a new standard for insect protection in Brazil,” says Dow AgroSciences...
