Braskem sells water treatment unit at Triunfo petchem complex to Odebrecht

Braskem (São Paulo) has sold its water-treat unit (WTU) located in the Triunfo petrochemical complex in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil to Odebrecht Ambiental, a subsidiary of Odebrecht Group (Salvador, Brazil), Braskem announced. Odebrecht is Braskem's largest shareholder. The sale, amounting to 315 million reais ($133.1 million), is in line with Braskem’s strategy to focus its investments in the petrochemical industry.
