BASF hikes capacity for waterborne coatings in Brazil

BASF today announced plans to expand its capacity for waterborne coatings at the Demarchi coatings site in São Paulo State. The €2-million ($2.6 million) investment will increase capacity for both waterborne primer and basecoats. The expansion is expected to be finished in early 2014. The primer smooths out uneven surface irregularities, offers stone-chip protection, and protects the e-coat from ultraviolet radiation.
