Jacobs awarded contract to build a chlorine dioxide plant in Brazil

Jacobs Engineering announced today that it was awarded a contract by CMPC Group’s Celulose Riograndense for the design and supply of an integrated chlorine dioxide plant for its pulp expansion project in Guaiba, Río Grande do Sul, Brazil. The plant will be designed to produce 55 m.t./day of chlorine dioxide. Jacobs will design and engineer the plant and supply the key equipment and materials including Jacobs’ proprietary Chemetics equipment.
