Regions :: South America :: Argentina Stamicarbon, KBR to Provide Technology for Large Ammonia-Urea Complex in Argentina8:04 AM MDT | November 1, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz Stamicarbon, the licensing arm of Maire Tecnimont, has signed an agreement to provide its process technology for a large urea complex to be built at Rio Grande in the Tierra del Fuego region of Argentina. The company signed the agreement with Tierra del Fuego Energia Y Quimica, a company controlled by Shaanxi Coal and Chemicals Group and other Chinese investors. Stamicarbon is providing its Avancore urea synthesis technology and its urea granulation process for the plant, which will be designed to produce 2,700 m.t./day of urea.
