Regions :: South America :: Argentina New Ammonia Plant Planned for Argentina; KBR Awarded Licensing Contract8:07 AM MDT | June 22, 2010 | Lindsey Bewley Tierra Del Fuego Power and Chemical Co. says it will build a 547,000 m.t./year ammonia plant at Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina, and has selected KBR to provide licensing and process design. The facility will utilize Argentina’s abundant natural gas resources to produce high-yield fertilizer for the region, the company says. Construction is expected to begin as early as July. Tierra Del Fuego Power and Chemical is a joint venture between Shaanxi Coal and Chemical (Shaanxi, China), Shaanxi Xinyida Investment, and Jinduicheng Molybdenum Group (Shaanxi)...
