BP announces $350-million sugarcane ethanol expansion

BP says it plans to invest $350 million to expand its ethanol processing capabilities at its Tropical sugarcane mill in Goiás, Brazil. The investment, which includes construction of a new mill,  will double the site's annual sugarcane processing capacity to 5-million tons and enable BP to produce 450-million liters of ethanol per year at the site.
