Argentine Court Convicts Two in Landmark Glyphosate Decision

Justices in Córdoba, Argentina, have convicted a soybean grower and an aerial herbicide applicator for sprayings of glyphosate and endosulfan without authorization near the neighborhood of Ituzaingó Anexo, on the outskirts of Córdoba. A third defendant, another soybean grower, was exonerated because of lack of evidence. The ruling, which deals with alleged health problems caused by the application of chemicals on cultivated farmland, is the first of its kind in South America, according the Argentine daily newspaper La Nación...
