Argentina's basic chemical output down 4.7% in December

Argentina's basic chemicals output in December 2013 fell 4.7% year-on-year (YOY), according to the latest figures released by state statistic office Indec (Buenos Aires). Production volumes and baseline figures have not been disclosed. Output shrank 7.7% during full-year 2013 compared with 2012, Indec says. Plastics and synthetic rubber output decreased by 4.6% YOY in December, and the decline for the whole of 2013 was 4.6%, Indec says.
