Argentina Seizes Control of YPF

The Argentine government has seized control of YPF, which is majority owned by Repsol (Madrid), in a move to nationalize the country’s largest oil and gas company. The takeover comes after several months of government pressure on the company to boost investments and output. The takeover would give the Argentine government access to YPF’s shale oil reserves and natural gas production in the country....
