The complex with an estimated value of $5.3 billion, is expected to be built at Point Lisas. Previously, the project was destined to be constructed at a less developed site at La Brea. Reports, citing Sabic’s CFO Mutlaq Al Morished, say the company is in talks “over a potential methanol venture in Trinidad.” The news that Sabic is favorite to win the bid to invest in the project led to a strong reaction from Beatrice Wilkinson...
