Regions :: South America SQM Reports Second-Quarter Earnings Up 31%9:10 AM MDT | August 29, 2012 | Kara Sissell Sociedad Quimica y Minera (SQM; Santiago) reported second quarter 2012 net income up 31% from the year-ago quarter, to $192.2 million, due in part to deferred volumes from first quarter 2012. Sales increased 19%, to $683.3 million.
