Sources, speaking on the sidelines of the APIC 2011 conference at Fukuoka, Japan, have told CW that after strong protests from environmentalists, Taiwan's president, Ma Ying-jeou, has instructed the company not to proceed with the project, which would have been built on reclaimed land at Changhua, 100 km north of Kaohsiung.
