Regions :: North Asia :: Taiwan Nan Ya Plastics Expands Oxo Capacity in Taiwan9:40 AM MST | November 18, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Nan Ya Plastics (Taipei), a member of the Formosa Plastics Group, has selected technology supplied by Dow Chemical and Davy Process Technology to upgrade Nan Ya’s oxo alcohols complex at Mailiao, Taiwan. Nan Ya’s plant currently uses an older oxo alcohols technology licensed from Dow and Davy. The retrofit will be based on LP Oxo Selector 30 Technology using the Normax catalyst. The complex’s 2-ethylhexanol unit will be expanded from 150,000 m.t./year, to 200,000 m.t./year, and normal and iso-butyraldehyde capacity will increase from a combined...
