(Taipei) has moved its previously announced NT$400.5-billion ($12.2 billion) refinery and petrochemical project to an alternative site in Taiwan, CW has learned (CW, Sept. 19, 2007, p. 19). The company has also outlined to CW the configuration of the planned complex. Its first phase will include a naphtha cracker and an aromatics complex, as well as 23 downstream manufacturing units. A second phase, still under evaluation, is expected to double capacity of the cracker and include a further 16 downstream manufacturing...
