Evonik to Expand Methacrylate Compounding in China, Taiwan

Specialty chemicals firm Evonik Industries says it plans to undertake three projects to significantly expand manufacturing capacities for specialty polymer compounds for molding in Asia. The company will expand polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) manufacturing capacity used in molding applications at Shanghai, and Taichung, Taiwan. Evonik also plans to expand its methacrylic acid capacity in Shanghai at its ‘MATCH’ supercomplex, which began operating just five months ago.
