Formosa was ordered to suspend operations pending safety inspections following a string of fires at its complex at Mailiao, Taiwan. The association calls on the government to ensure that operations and shipments of the country's petrochemical industry remain normal while the Formosa plants at Mailiao are closed in stages over the coming year for inspections.
