Sigma-Aldrich Expands LED Capacity in Taiwan

Sigma-Aldrich Fine Chemicals Hitech (St. Louis, MO), the electronic chemicals business of Sigma-Aldrich, has expanded its production of materials for making high-brightness light emitting diodes (HBLED) with the start of a new facility at Kaohsiung, Taiwan.   SAFC Hitech’s facility covers an area of 270,000 sq.ft., significantly increasing the company’s existing capacity for high-volume manufacturing of quality trimethylgallium (TMG), triethylgallium (TEG) and trimethylindium (TMI), all precursors for HBLED applications.
