Regions :: North Asia :: Korea Wacker Acquires Silicones Production Plant in Korea6:34 AM MDT | October 14, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz Wacker Chemie says its Wacker Chemicals Korea subsidiary is acquiring the Lucky Silicone brand from Henkel Technologies (Korea). Wacker, as part of the acquisition, takes over a production plant at Jincheon, 100 km southeast of Seoul, and the associated real estate as well as the rights to this South Korean brand. Wacker is also taking over all the inventories and receivables related to the business. The transaction is expected to close before yearend, subject to antitrust approval.
