Uhde Inventa-Fischer to build PPS plant for SK Chemicals

Uhde Inventa-Fischer says it has received an order from SK Chemicals (Seoul) to build a previously announced plant for the continuous production of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). The new plant will be integrated into SK Chemicals’ industrial complex at Ulsan, Korea. It will use Uhde Inventa-Fischer’s proprietary process technology based on the patented Espree and Discage reactors. The project marks SK Chemicals’ entry into the PPS market.
