Regions :: North Asia :: Korea UOP Technology Selected for Samsung Total’s Aromatics Project in Korea12:08 AM MST | January 19, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, says it has been selected by Samsung Total Petrochemicals, a 50-50 joint venture between Samsung Group and Total, to provide technologies for Samsung Total’s recently announced aromatics project at Daesan, Korea. The facility will use several integrated UOP technologies to produce 1 million m.t./year of para-xylene and 500,000 m.t./year of benzene. UOP will provide engineering design, technology licensing, catalysts, adsorbents, equipment and technical service for the new units, which are expected to start up in 2014. Experts...
