Regions :: North Asia :: Korea UOP Technology Selected for Para-Xylene Plant in Korea1:32 AM MDT | September 29, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh UOP says it has been selected by HC Petrochem, the previously announced 50-50 joint venture between Hyundai Oilbank (Seoul) and Cosmo Oil (Tokyo), to provide technology for an expansion of its para -xylene plant at Daesan, Korea. HC Petrochem will use the UOP Parex process and the UOP Isomar process to triple production of high-purity p-xylene to support growing demand for petrochemicals worldwide, UOP says.
