Regions :: North Asia :: Korea Total-Samsung Starts PP Production at Daesan8:10 AM MDT | October 17, 2007 | Deepti Ramesh Total says that it has started a 300,000-m.t./year polypropylene (PP) production line at its jv plant in South Korea. PP capacity a the site will be 554,000 m.t./year. The Daesan plant is a 50:50 joint venture with Samsung (Seoul, South Korea). Ethylene capacity of the naphtha cracker at the site has also been recently expanded from 600,000 m.t./year to 820,000 m.t./year. Total says.
