Regions :: North Asia :: Korea Sumitomo Builds Manufacturing Facility for Touchscreen Panels in Korea12:03 AM MDT | May 9, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Sumitomo Chemical says it has recently started construction of a new manufacturing facility for next-generation touchscreen panels at the production site of Sumitomo’s Dongwoo Fine-Chem (Seouls) electronic materials subsidiary at Pyeongtaek, Korea. Sumitomo will invest won250 billion ($231 million) to construct the facility. Production at the facility is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2012.
