Styrolution Opens Plant in Korea

Styrolution (Frankfurt), the styrenics joint venture between BASF and Ineos, has opened its previously announced Luran S acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) copolymers plant at Ulsan, Korea. The new plant has a production capacity of 43,000 m.t./year, complementing current ASA capacity in Europe and North America, enabling Styrolution to offer customers in the Asia/Pacific region greater security of supply and shorter lead times, Styrolution says.
