SK Innovation suspends construction work on p-xylene project in Korea

SK Innovation’s subsidiary SK Incheon Petrochem has suspended construction work on a para-xylene (p-xylene) project at Incheon, South Korea, reports say citing an unnamed official. The suspension of work on the nearly completed 1.3-million m.t./year p-xylene facility follows last year’s recommendation by the city government of Incheon to the district office of Seo-gu to stop the project on the grounds that the company has violated the city's building code in numerous instances.   SK says it decided to suspend the project temporarily...
