OCI to Expand Polysilicon Capacity in Korea

OCI Co. (Seoul), formerly DC Chemical, says it will further expand polysilicon capacity at the company’s Gunsan, Korea facility. OCI will invest about won120 billion ($102 million) to expand capacity by 3,000 m.t./year. Construction is expected to be completed by October 2011. OCI had announced in June that it would invest won220 billion to expand polysilicon capacity by 5,000 m.t./year at the Gunsan site to be completed by October 2011.
