(Seoul), formerly known as DC Chemical, says it will expand polysilicon capacity at its existing facility at Gunsan, Korea. OCI will invest about won220 billion ($181 million) to expand the capacity by 5,000 m.t./year. The construction will begin this month and is expected to be completed by October 2011. OCI had announced in December 2009 that it will construct its phase 3 (P3) polysilicon plant at the Gunsan site with an investment of won1 trillion.
