Regions :: North Asia :: Korea L&T Wins Contract for Aromatics Project in India4:59 AM MDT | March 15, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Larsen & Toubro (L&T; Mumbai) says it has secured a contract valued at Rs.20350 million ($447 million) from ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd (OMPL; Mangalore, India) for its previously announced aromatics complex to be built in the Mangalore special economic zone. OMPL is promoted by Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC; New Delhi) and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemical Ltd. (MRPL; Mangalore), a subsidiary of ONGC. The aromatics project is expected to be ready for commissioning by December 2012, L&T says. The complex will produce para-xylene and benzene...
