Regions :: North Asia :: Korea Korea's SKC Buys Stake in Evonik Hydrogen Peroxide Plant7:26 AM MST | November 12, 2010 | Ian Young SKC (Seoul) has agreed to acquire a 45% stake in Evonik Degussa Peroxide Korea, a subsidiary of Evonik Degussa. Evonik Degussa Peroxide Korea is the biggest manufacturer of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in Korea, and it has operated a plant at Ulsan since 2006. Evonik Degussa, an Evonik Industries subsidiary, will continue to hold the remaining 55% of Evonik Degussa Peroxide Korea. Evonik Degussa Peroxide Korea supplies H2O2 to a plant, also at Ulsan and operated by SKC that produces propylene oxide (PO) via the hydrogen peroxide-propylene oxide (HPPO) process. The...
